i post TOO many skulls

scroll through previous entries to see the original version of the below.

this is revision #1.... "can you make the skull look happy?.... and the colors duller?"

this is revision #2...."it needs to be a little more happier... and maybe not so pronounced...."

... final outcome: design dropped. sometimes dealing with brands is frustrating... but the successes seem to make up for the failures.

been busy traveling again. i'll try and post pics of the adventure sometime soon.

spotted

some tee graphics that i did a while back have resurfaced on the cover of a summer catalog and on the bicep of some guy. its always a good feeling to know that some one liked your art enough to use it for additional purposes.

KKJ

this is a project that I did for friends of mine that are about to get married.... their wedding monogram. Sometimes it take a lot of scribbling to come up with something that I am satisfied with. K-K-J are some hard letters to work with in that order! and the fact that i didn't really know what a wedding monogram was supposed to be before i started didn't really help the process flow too quickly either.

Can't wait to see everyone in May! Congrats Jeff and Katelyn!!!

hands... again.

i really like the way that this graphic turned out... and the client was happy with it as well. its good when things work out and everyone is pleased. i really want to find the time to do other stuff like this in the future... maybe a handscreened poster or something.... finding the time to do so will be the difficult part.

and on a side note... i will be traveling a lot over the summer (starting tomorrow!) mostly for work but also for fun and weddings. i will have to remember to bring along a sketchbook and a camera!

Tiki Time

I'm happy with the overall "vintage look" that this design hopefully was able to capture.

you gotta love the typography of house industries for a project like this.
